Celebrating 10 Years with Diabetes and Endocrinology Associates, P.C.

We would like to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Jessica Smith-Thornton working at Diabetes and Endocrinology! As the Business Office Coordinator, Jessica manages the flow of all billing procedures for both the Conyers and Decatur offices. Jessica is an accomplished administrative and billing professional with over 12 years of diversified experience.

Jessica, what is your favorite thing about working at D&E?
Jessica: I have to say the employees. It really is such a good group of people to work with. There are many that I have been working with ever since I started ten years ago, so it has been really great building relationships with them over that time.

Why did you first join D&E ten years ago?
I worked at Montgomery Family Practice prior to working here, and it really made me realize how much I liked working in a fast-paced environment. I really enjoyed working in the medical field and with Diabetes and Endocrinology being such a busy office with so many patients, I knew it was just the type of environment I wanted to work in.

What do you do in your spare time?
What spare time?! I have two kids and between soccer and football there is not much time left! Weekends are usually spent shuttling kids between games and spending time with family.

What is one unique thing about you?
I am a clean-aholic! I could stay up all night cleaning and organizing if I could. I enjoy a clean environment both at home and at work, so co-workers often catch me cleaning throughout the day!

We are very excited to celebrate Jessica’s 10 year anniversary working here at Diabetes and Endocrinology. She is a huge asset to the company and we hope to celebrate her working here for years to come!
