Adrenal

The two adrenal glands rest over both kidneys. They produce cortisol, aldosterone, and adrenaline. Together, these hormones mediate the body’s stress, or “fight or flight” response – managing blood pressure, heart function, immune system function, glucose utilization, and other aspects of metabolism.

Our providers at Diabetes and Endocrinology Associates are adept at managing various adrenal conditions, such as:

  • Cushings syndrome

  • Pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma

  • Hyperaldosteronism, or Conn’s syndrome

  • Adrenal masses

  • Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia

  • Adrenal insufficiency, or Addison’s disease
